Annette Bening’s fashion at the 2011 New York Film Critics Circle Awards was tailored chic. She selected a Stella McCartney jumpsuit with wide legs and embroidered bodice. She paired the design with a cropped faux fur jacket. She kept her jewelry simple with H. Stern aqua and diamond earrings.
Michelle Williams added a bit of a creative mix and match to her fashion selection. She mixed a lace Nina Ricci top with a metallic Wren skirt. She picked black Louboutin pumps and a Chanel ring.
Bening’s look could have been better if the pants were more tailored. The outfit was a bit overwhelming. When selecting a full jacket it is better to pair it with a more slim pant.
Michelle Williams never makes a bad fashion choice. The pieces worked well together, but were a tad uninspiring. She does color so well, that it might have been nicer to see her in something brighter.
Kerry Washington selected aqua which is a great color, but the outfit did not look appropriate for the occasion.
It seemed overall that the event from the standpoint of fashion was an informal affair.
As for talent all the ladies are tops.
