Do You Remember When Erica Mena Worked for the Kardashians?

Before wreaking havoc in the concrete jungle on Love & Hip Hop, Erica Mena got more than a dash of reality on Kourtney and Khloé Take Miami. As a sales clerk, or “Dash Doll,” at Miami’s Dash boutique, Erica swept, vacuumed, and stocked when she was employed by none other than the Reality TV Queens themselves, the Kardashians.

When Kourtney hired Erica in good faith because the two had mutual friends, she pitched the feisty Latina as “bubbly,” to which sister Khloé replied, “That shit ain’t bubbles.” Erica had an entire episode (season 1, episode 5) dedicated to her bosses threatening to fire her  after cursing, having a ‘tude, and constantly showing up late to work. Guess it was clear from the start that no one would make rules for Erica but herself. The Kardashians being no exception. (Take it from Khloé, who said she “single-handedly pissed off every last girl” at the store.)

When she wasn’t telling customers to go home before closing time or shamelessly talking on her cell phone on the sales floor, she gave Khloé Spanish lessons and eventually made up with Kourt. Even though her DGAF behavior at work ultimately led her to lose her job, the reality star laughs it off now. She says she’s still good friends with the Kardashians, acknowledging that they gave her her first taste of reality TV. Today, she supports both the family and her old stomping grounds.
