Craig Ferguson and wife Megan
The changes for CBS’s late-night lineup continue with Craig Ferguson announcing that he, too, will be leaving his show at the end of the year.
Ferguson, 51, broke the news Monday afternoon during the taping of the The Late Late Show. No replacement has been announced.
“CBS and I are not getting divorced, we are ‘consciously uncoupling,’ but we will still spend holidays together and share custody of the fake horse and robot skeleton, both of whom we love very much,” Ferguson said in a statement.
David Letterman, 66, whose The Late Show airs before Ferguson’s, told his audience on April 3 that he’s retiring after three decades on late night. Stephen Colbert of Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report will take over.
