NBC Sets Date for Steve Carell’s ‘The Office’ Exit – TheCelebrityCafe.com

Dunder Mifflin will never be the same without irreverent, nutty boss Michael Scott. NBC has publicly announced the date of his departure from the The Office. The network has confirmed that Steve Carell’s last episode on the long-running comedy series will air April 28th.

According to Digital Spy, potential replacements for the character will start appearing on the April 15th episode, when Will Ferrell guest stars. He will make three other appearances, including a May 5th episode that takes place after Carell’s departure.

The show’s season finale will air on May 15th.

Carell finished shooting The Office back on March 8th, USA Today reports. This was confirmed when co-star Rainn Wilson tweeted, “Steve Carell’s last day on ‘The Office.’ And the angels of comedy wept… #saddestdayever.”
